* eclass: [QA] Revert multiple meaningless doc changesMichał Górny2020-12-281-5/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | Revert multiple meaningless eclass documentation changes, notably adding a lot of placeholders and documenting implementation details. These changes were aimed at silencing (valid) documentation warnings without actually providing valuable documentation to the end users. While some of these changes were beneficial, it would take a lot of effort to review them all and the author is unwilling to fix his mistakes. Signed-off-by: Michał Górny <mgorny@gentoo.org>

* cuda.eclass: Add nvidia-cuda-toolkit depJason Zaman2018-10-171-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | The eclass checked for nvidia-cuda-toolkit but was missing the DEPEND. Also for EAPI7 both DEPEND and BDEPEND are needed for the compiler and libraries. Closes: https://bugs.gentoo.org/654168 Signed-off-by: Jason Zaman <perfinion@gentoo.org>
* cuda.eclass: Add version and sandbox helper methodsJason Zaman2018-09-221-0/+42
| | | | | | | | cuda_toolkit_version returns the version of dev-util/nvidia-cuda-toolkit cuda_cudnn_version returns the version of dev-libs/cudnn cuda_add_sandbox adds the nvidia dev nodes to the sandbox Signed-off-by: Jason Zaman <perfinion@gentoo.org>
* cuda.eclass: update to EAPI7, remove 0-4Jason Zaman2018-09-221-34/+47
| | | | | | | | | | | | | cuda.eclass is only used from EAPI5,6 currently so remove support for older EAPIs. Updating to EAPI7 means removing versionator. It was only used to sort the cuda versions. Instead first try the current GCC version, if that fails try best_version, if that still fails just pick the last in the list that works. They are already sorted and hopefully stay that way so version_sort is not required. Signed-off-by: Jason Zaman <perfinion@gentoo.org>

* eclass/cuda.eclass: Fix passing compiler and linker optionsMarius Brehler2017-01-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | As documented in 'nvcc --help', the correct syntax is: --compiler-options <options>,... (-Xcompiler) --linker-options <options>,... (-Xlinker) Closes: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/3310
* cuda.eclass: fix 'gcc-bindir -f' output to not use '=' in optsyderitic2016-12-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | The '=' with the "" around the bindir are causing a "not a valid directory" error while compiling with cuda support. It now works as expected: with gcc-5.4.0 and cuda 7.5 NVCCFLAGS are set properly to gcc-4.9.x Closes: https://github.com/gentoo/gentoo/pull/3013
* cuda.eclass: fix g++ checksyderitic2016-12-201-1/+1
| | | | | | Currently the check against *g++* doesn't work, thus the NVCCFLAGS are never set accordingly. The check for gnu is now made through tc-is-gcc.

This commit represents a new era for Gentoo: Storing the gentoo-x86 tree in Git, as converted from CVS. This commit is the start of the NEW history. Any historical data is intended to be grafted onto this point. Creation process: 1. Take final CVS checkout snapshot 2. Remove ALL ChangeLog* files 3. Transform all Manifests to thin 4. Remove empty Manifests 5. Convert all stale $Header$/$Id$ CVS keywords to non-expanded Git $Id$ 5.1. Do not touch files with -kb/-ko keyword flags. Signed-off-by: Robin H.
